How to color kawaii pages
Go pastel. Kawaii looks best in soft colors: baby pink, mint, butter yellow, lilac and sky blue. Keep the darkest shades for tiny details.
Add blush cheeks. A small oval of pink under each eye is the signature kawaii touch. Color it lightly, or smudge a little pink pencil with your finger.
Keep eyes shiny. Leave a white dot in each eye and color the rest dark. It instantly makes every character look happy.
Outline in a darker tint. Once you're done, trace around a few shapes with a slightly darker pencil of the same color to make them pop.

Free kawaii coloring pages: questions
Are these kawaii coloring pages really free?
Yes. The first page downloads straight away, no sign-up needed. Enter your email to unlock three more kawaii pages instantly on this page. We'll also send a confirmation email, so we can send you new free pages.
What size are the pages?
The pages are square, just like the Plushie Cuties paperback. They print on regular US Letter or A4 paper: choose "Fit to page" in your print settings.
Are these kawaii coloring pages for adults or kids?
Both. The scenes are made for adults who want to relax, and the bold, easy outlines are easy enough for kids and beginners too.
Can I print more than one copy?
Of course. Print as many copies as you like for yourself, your family or your classroom. If you'd like to share them, please share a link to this page rather than the PDF file.
What does kawaii mean?
Kawaii is the Japanese word for cute. In coloring, it means round, simple characters with big eyes, small smiles and rosy cheeks, which makes the pages relaxing and quick to finish.
